What is MPSL?
The Monterey Peninsula Soccer League (MPSL) is a USSF affiliated adult amateur league
that was founded in the early 1980's. Most games are played on Sundays at Pacific Grove High School
in Pacific Grove, California.
In the spring of 2012, several long time players started an Over 30 League, managed under the auspices of the MPSL which is now the only active league. In 2023 it was split between Division 1 and Division 2 with a relegation/promotion format.
The MPSL Over 30 League is first and foremost a fundraiser for the Pacific Grove High School soccer program. Males over the age of 30 and females over the age of 18 may join the Over 30 League. The Over 30 League uses an eight versus eight format on a reduced size field, with no offsides and no slide tackling of opponents.
If you’re interested in playing, coaching, refereeing or organizing an Over 30 team, please use the contact information table under the leagfue stats in the Division 1 or Division 2 section.
This new league created an opportunity for over 30 men and women players to compete against other players having similar abilities. Funds raised by the Over 30 League is in part used to help develop the youth soccer programs of the Pacific Grove High School.
The MPSL is affiliated with FIFA through the U.S. Soccer Federation, the U.S. Adult Soccer Association and the California
Soccer Association North (CSAN). All players must be registered for the MPSL through CSAN. |
